Does the Media make or Mark the society?

          Yes media plays a vital role to make the society, Now a days there are number of media available in our world like TV, Radio, Newspaper, Social Sites, Phones etc.We are live in the society where we use this all kind of media directly or indirectly .We cannot avoid any kind of media in regular life. In this 21st century we are using lots of technology for or day to day life and because of this we can communicate everywhere in the in the world, we all are thankful to different kind of media. In society Media play major role and more than 75% of our society believes what Media provides, we just follow what media show us but in fact,we can say that the whole world follow different kind of social Media
   Media has effect over the society but from the last 50 years it has created tremendous effect over the society, as here I would like to mention that, Media makes the society but it influences over the society from two sides good or bad but undoubtedly it always play major role in the society as if we see that before some year ago person who was suffering from Leprosy or AIDS was not welcomed by the society normally, as people didn’t  not like to touch them but as it is aura that people are highly influenced by media so some social NGO and Government has started to show an advertise that AIDS is not spread due to touch, so the wrong belief of people removed so this is a positive side of media that it has lead people to think in different way and not just to believe on rumors and due to this positive response of society Government also become aware about to spread other important social message from which India suffers last many years “saksharta Abhiyan”, “ KutumbNiyojan”, “Polio Nivaran” and there is not an exaggeration to say that due to an advertisement on Polio Nivaran now in India Polio finds in very rare cases so it is a very good positive impact of media over society and they spread the messages like “padhega India tabhi to badhega India” and also such products like which sales products as well as give the social message TATA Namk desh ka NAMAK,Which gives an example of honesty, TATA TEA also gives a message to be awareness about voting and also ad like nirma who gives an idea about modern strong woman and through this they are smartly sale their product also.
            Media makes the world smaller as well as closer as for instance, if you see cricket match between India and England in another country live on Television, you will feel that you are the part of an audience of stadium as if Sachin Tendulkar hit the six or four u get excited as you were there, so you can come near to the world and also consumers have the choice to select among various products as car,cosmetics,oil and so on, and this happen because of rapidly development of media in every field. Through E-media online railway booking and there is no need to go at there and stand in a cue for the ticket so it saves time also. The information provided by media persons in any media either it would be print, television or radio but it has to be accurate, they have to provide correct information as if in any blast 100 people died so media cannot give the figures like 200 or 50 because people can claim against so one can be free from the rumors as before development of media rumors were there when something has happen.

             Though it is an age of smart TV and smart phones but still newspaper, supplementary of newspaper, magazines, are also in demand as FM Radio has again put the Radio in demand in a market some old generation people get more entertainment from Radio rather than TV or something else not only old people but youth has Radio in their mobile phones so now Radio becomes more easier device and magazines which are on cookies and fashion and on health are also popular. As cookies book by the very famous cook Tarala Dalal is still popular because Tarala Dalal cannot say everything about kitchen in the cooking show on television as how to keep good house can not seen in her cooking programs but it can be seen in Magazines which she has written now she has died before three months so one can make a very good cooking by reading her book o in the age of smart TV magazines as a media also in demand
        In brief it is to be mention that every coin has two sides in the same way media has also two sides also, no doubt media might have bad impacts also but as I believe Media influences more positive on society rather than negative impact.

(1) Surrogate Advertising:-
                                 Duplicating brand image of one product extensively, in order to promote, another product of the same company, use of well established brand, except the original product, to encompass that product. It is done by complementary products such as soda, bottled drink water, fruit juice etc.

                               In India it is legal to manufacture liquor and sale them freely but illegal to advertise them through the public media
  
Examples of Surrogate Advertising

 Wills, Manikchand, Backadi, Kingfisher, Aristrocrats, Smirnoff, Seagram   

  
                                   






    
    As in the above in the first example it is an advertise of cigarette but the didn’t use the word cigarette directly but through the word Cricket they advertise their product.

(2)Online Advertising:-
                
                                  Whenever the word “online” heard one has to imagine something that is relate with and internet, in the same way online advertising is a form of promotion that uses the Internet and World Wide Web marketing message to attract consumers.

                            Through online advertising Advertiser has the capability of conveying more details of the product at a very lower cost. As it is faster than other medium as start sending out your ads ,the moment you sign up for the campaign,unlike other sources of advertising .It lets consumers or viewer to decide whether to view the ads at all or not.

(2) Mobile Advertising:-
                           
                             It is a new form of advertising, but one that’s rapidly, uses cell phones, ipads, kindles, Nooks, and other portable electronic devices with Internet connectivity. Current trends in mobile advertising involve major use of social media such as Twitter and Face book. It advertises product or service through SMS or Call in Mobile about free offer or a lottery. As for instance
                         Domino's’ pizza uses mobile advertising to inform about such offers of their products. As consumers are go at Domino’s pizza and according to their rule the contact numbers of consumers automatically saved in their computers and mobile so when there is special offer for festivals consumers get an Sms from the company about the offer so obviously they increase their market by using Mobile Advertising. As here I would like to add one current example of it as,Domino's has a special offer of buy one get one free offer on every Wednesday and they uses mobile advertising to inform about this offer.

Distinguishing between classified advertising and display advevertising 


       Advertisements which are more direct in approach and it is to the point and it deals with direct message to convince the consumers and these advertisements are normally short and images, pictures are not used. These advertisements are placed at certain part of paper.Advertisements such as Homes for sale, properties for rent, cars for sale; employment notice, birth and death notice are come under the category of classified advertisement. Classified ads are generally Text advertise where all ads are presented together Classified ads can be pass through hand to hand 


           Classified notice are generally seen only by the people who are interested in the specific category as one can show these ads on specific page and you go there if you are looking for something ,for instance Apartment for rent.

Display Advertisement
Display ads are usually adjacent to additional content although sometimes a bunch of display ads may appear together on a page with no articles, it placed on adjacent to articles in order to try to capture the attention of the reader. Display advertising is for everyone to see and it is displayed in such a way to get the maximum attention of readers. It can be seen on object like LED, hording,wall paint, glass paint, wall papers and details like offers,sale,discount ,festival offers, season offer are to be shown in display ads.

         There are such differences between classified ads and display ads.

AS Display ads are for the long term while classified ads are for the short term, Classified ads can be pass through from one hand to another while Display ads are placed in to limit area, the main difference between these two types is as also mention above that Display advertising is for everyone to see and it is displayed in such a way to get the maximum attention of the readers  as there is supplementary or magazines where columns of writers near there an advertise of cosmetic items of ladies obviously the lady who read that column once attracts to see that advertise ,while classified advertising is shown on specific page and reader will go there he is looking for something as advertisement for job opportunity, homes for the rent etc.
